Thought I would share with the Sacramento readers an absorption chart this month. The chart to the right shows how long it will take to sell a house in the Sacramento County area given the past history of 12 months, 6 months and 3 months worth of home sales. As you can see the chart is indicating under a four month supply of homes on the market which typically would signal a Seller’s market.

Each month, usually by the end of the first week of the month, I post the home sales report by zip code prior to writing a detailed report such as this one. Take a look at the home sales in your neighborhood by clicking on Neighborhood/County Market Statistics which is directly under the header of this blog. You may chose the month or year you wish to compare.
