The real estate market report for all of the Sacramento area by the end of  May 2010 shows 5,915 homes for sale. This number has been rising each month.  With that said, there were 2,159 homes receiving offers the sellers accepted which will hopefully close June 2010. As far as single family homes sold within the entire Sacramento area, 1,702 homes actually sold at an average sold price of 4,863 with an average square footage of 1,692.

Compared to the previous month in April 2010 we have an influx of homes for sale on the market with 3,901 homes actually for sale in April, 1,003 homes receiving an accepted offer by the seller and 1,534 homes that sold at an average sold price of 4,457 with an average square footage of 1,644 square feet.

Just to continue showing the increase in homes for sale, the March home statistics show 3,020 homes for sale, 322 homes receiving accepted offers and 1,671 homes sold at an average price of 3,624 with an average of 1680 square feet.

So, while homes in the Sacramento area are selling for a little more each month on average, there are almost twice the amount of homes for sale as there were in March.
