As a Sacramento Short Sale agent, today I thought I would share with the readers what one of my Short Sale sellers found recently when reviewing her credit score.

Short Sale sellers and their credit all vary and but I was curious how much a credit score would lower when a Short Sale seller who had stellar credit but unfortunately encountered a blimish on their credit with a Sacramento Short Sale.

I was plesantly surprised that the credit score only went down 78 points for this Sacramento Short Sale seller who pays all their other bills on time. 

That is the key, making sure to pay all your other bills on time and not be late with your bills.  I was expecting the credit score to drop about 200 points and perhaps that would happen if a Short Sale seller did not pay other bills as well as their mortgage payment.

Have you gone through a Short Sale and checked your credit rating to see how the Short Sale affected your credit rating?  It’s a good thing to check and I’d love to hear how much your scrore went down along with your circumstances.  Please share your nameless comments below.
