And I just discovered this little tidbit on the West Hartford Library’s website - you can also get passes for CT State Parks which will cover the hefty vehicle fees.
I learned the hard way that you can’t just show up on the day you want to go and expect to collect your pass. Not so easy. You have to reserve your passes in advance up to one month before you want to go. You also have to pick up and drop off the passes on the same day you use them.
